Registration | A full registration packet will be sent to you after deposit has been made
Deposit | $300 USD NON-REFUNDABLE retainer deposit required to hold your seat.
Final payment is due April 2, 2012
Cancellation | Once full payment is made, you will be refunded in full if you are able to secure your seat by another attendee. The $300 retainer fee is non-refundable.

Details | The focus of this workshop will be on using Natural light with the Newborn sessions and Studio light with the Maternity session.
Newborns | The first day we will walk through 2 complete Newborn sessions. You'll learn how to work with parents, baby tools every photographer should have, how to calm and soothe the baby, safety, set up, lighting, camera settings, exposure and white balance. You will learn a few of the "typical" newborn poses, but we are going to focus on "pure and natural" posing and learning to think "out-of-the-box" in finding your creative outlets. We'll work with wrapping and using different fabrics, all the while focusing on the pureness of the baby.
Maternity | The second day, we will also have 1 maternity session where I will teach you the basics of using Studio lighting. You will learn how to position the light to achieve the soft shadows around the mommy's belly, creating stunning portraits. We'll work with how to achieve the rim lighting to accentuate the belly even further. We'll also be using different types of fabrics and learning how to wrap the mommy-to-be.
What you Need
Skill Level | all skill levels are welcome. A basic knowledge of Photoshop is highly encouraged.
I will be using CS5 and ACR.
Camera | You must own a DSLR and know your camera. It is assumed that you are comfortable
shooting in manual mode and have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings.
Lenses | A basic 50mm lens is suggested for the newborn session | 50mm, 85mm, or 24-70mm lens is suggested for the maternity session
A Macro lens is also suggested, though not required.
Equipment | memory cards, extra batteries, charger
